This 2001 OCT article is a blast from the past from the John Snobelin/Mike Harris days. It's kind of a doom and gloom article. If you are new to combined grades, do NOT read this until after your first year is under your belt. We've come a long way since this.
Split Decisions: the 2001 ETFO position paper referenced in the above article. Again, this deals with old curriculum, but some of the themes remain poignant today.
What Works? Research Into Practice. Combined Grades : Very nice research monograph by Diane Lataille-Démor from l'École des sciences de l’éducation of Université Laurentienne. It's theory, but it's nice theory.
